QA/QC Specialist
Your Job
Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Company, is looking for a QA/QC Specialist to join the team.
The QA/QC Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that all projects adhere to company and industry standards.
This involves reviewing project specifications, creating project-specific documents, and collaborating with various teams to uphold the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong background in quality assurance and control in the engineering or construction industry.
This role will sit in office Monday - Friday at our headquarters in Katy, TX with periodic trips to job sites as needed.
Additionally, field support will at times be required by phone on the weekends.
This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

What You Will Do
* Analyze and review project specifications to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
Identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement and communicate these to the relevant teams.
* Develop and maintain project-specific quality assurance and control documents, including, but not limited to, job-specific letters, inspection test plans, and quality control plans.
* Implement QA procedures and best practices across all project phases.
Ensure processes are followed and recommend improvements where necessary.
* Support QC field operations with welder testing, continuity records, CMS, etc.
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure QA/QC standards are understood and implemented effectively.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections of projects to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and client specifications.
* Prepare and present QA/QC reports to senior management and clients, highlighting key findings, recommendations, and corrective actions taken.
* Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes to continuously improve QA/QC processes and policies.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Experience in a QA/QC role within the oil and gas industry or an engineering firm
* Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations such as ASME B31.3, ASME Section V, ASME Section IX, API 1104.
* Valid US driver's license
