Position Title: College Aide

Salary Range: $17.00/hr - $17.50/hr

Job Description:

The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an immediate opening for a Part-time College Aide in its Survivor Services Bureau.

In this position the person is responsible for providing administrative support to the unit.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


* Data entry.


* Compiling and reconciling billing documents.


* Credit Card account management.


* Updating of SSB administrative spreadsheets.


* Front Desk Coverage.


* Responding to phone calls to the Unit.

Preferred Requirements/Skills:


* Experience in a law office or business.


* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.


* Strong organizational skills.


* Ability to prioritize assignments.


* Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Ability to quickly master new computer systems and to update and edit existing applicant tracking database.


* Ability to absorb and retain information and apply it in new situations.


* A proactive approach and the ability to work \"hands-on\" as required.


* Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines consistently.


* Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented and self-motivated, and able to multi-task and adapt to changes in workflow.


* Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment.


* Ability to interact professionally and effectively across all levels of management.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

For Assignment Level I:

Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school.

Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.

For Assignment Level II (Information Technology):

Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school.

Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study.

For Assignment Level III (Information Technology):

Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school.

Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or other area relevant to the information technology project(s) assigned, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study.
