Administrative Services Manager II

The County of Riverside's Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), Administrative Services Division, is seeking a qualified Administrative Services Manager II to oversee the Technology and Support Services (TSS) Unit in Riverside.

The Administrative Services Manager II will lead a team of approximately 25 staff responsible for managing end-user IT equipment, software, and mobile devices.

This role also includes oversight of warehouse operations for departmental equipment, a service desk that supports end users, and a project management team that handles technology-related initiatives.

Additionally, the Administrative Services Manager II will serve as the primary liaison between DPSS and the Riverside County Information Technology (RCIT) Department.

Lastly, the incumbent will plan, organize, and direct the work of staff members to meet changing workload demands; conduct formal and informal training of subordinates.

This position will require the incumbent to travel throughout the county to various department offices as needed.

Candidates must have previous full-scope supervisory experience with the County of Riverside or a similar local government agency (e.g., a neighboring county), as well as experience managing technology hardware and software inventory, including ordering and maintaining stock levels.

Previous Information Technology (IT) project management experience, such as coordinating projects, collaborating with various external and internal stakeholders, and developing project timelines and deliverables, and knowledge of low-code and no-code solutions (e.g., Microsoft Power Apps) are highly desirable.

At this time, the position has the opportunity for a hybrid telework schedule based on business need, however job expectations, at times may require in person interaction.

Telework may change at any time and you will be expected to report to the office.
This class has been deemed eligible for the Performance Recognition Plan as set forth under Article 3, Section 311 of the County Management Resolution.
