Managing Consultant, Noise Engineer (Senior Level)

ERM is seeking a self-starting, dynamic Managing Consultant, Noise Engineer with a focus on acoustic engineering.  In this role, you will provide high-quality noise assessment, pre-and-post construction noise surveys, modeling noise impacts, and providing noise mitigation recommendations to ERM’s clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Provide creative and fit-for-purpose acoustical technical analyses for client projects. 


* Support the development of noise assessments, including background noise surveys and noise impact modeling for airborne and underwater noise projects.


* Analyze data obtained through web-based research, aerial photos, and survey reports to assess construction noise impacts to projects.


* Act as a ‘Subject Matter Expert’ for noise impact analysis for Environmental Assessments and Impact Statements for NEPA and state environmental policy programs. 


* Correspond and collaborate with ERM’s acoustic team and Acoustical Technical Community to perform work and ensure appropriate technical review.


* Conduct agency consultations; participate in site visits, agency, and public meetings as needed. 


* Prepare scope of work, schedule and cost estimates for noise impact studies. 


* Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.


* Complete work assignments in accordance with ERM's management system, format and quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS:


* BS degree in Engineering or Science discipline.; or 8 year's equivalent experience.


* 4 or more years of experience.  Direct consulting or industry experience a plus.


* Experience with SoundPlan, CadnaA, Predictor or other industry-supported noise modeling software.


* Ability to organize data logically.


* Strong Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).


* Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health & Safety protocols.


* Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills including experience writing detailed technical reports.


* Team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter who takes initiative, versatile, and service-oriented mentality.

For the Managing Consultant, Noise Engineer (Senior Level) position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $96,900 - $129,972 (USD).  An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.  We also may...
