Job Description and Responsibilities
Join EVRAZ North America's Portland team as a Planning Analyst and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our steel and manufacturing processes.
This dynamic position is crucial for aligning production strategies with market demands, ensuring the seamless flow of operations.
* Manage intake and responses for commercial requests for quote (RFQs)
* Perform order review prior to acceptance, to ensure inventory and capacity is available and that order does not violate any manufacturing or process limitations
* Analyze customer demand and provision orders to optimal raw material SKU to minimize conversion cost and maximize yield and productivity
* Assist with the creation of reports, benchmarking metrics, and other data analysis in order to support the needs and success of the Business Unit
* Manage finished goods stocking program to ensure optimal stocking levels are maintained and perform regular review of inventory turns by each SKU and adjust levels as needed
* Conduct deep dive of scheduling options as needed to show financial impact based on scheduling method and review results with team
* Review customer demand to measure repeatability and set ordering patterns.
Use these patterns to nominate better scheduling practices where applicable
* Review raw material and finished goods SKUs to find best alignment for material allocation
Requirements
* BA/BS degree in Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or applicable experience
* 3 to 5 years of experience in planning, supply chain, or data analysis
* Self-starter with initiative to work independently
* Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work within a team environment
* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
* Previous experience with ERP implementation is preferable
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel (formulas and functions)
* Experience with structured query language (SQL)
* Ability to work with tight deadlines
* Critical thinking as in the ability to work with data, to accumulate it, and analyze it in order to make balanced assessments and smart decisions
