Summary:
This position will assist in the day to day monitoring of working capital accounts in both the ABL and AR Finance portfolios. This position will work closely with the Relationship Managers and their clients and will possess an understanding of Collateral Lending concepts. This position needs to understand accounting processes relating to accounts receivable, inventory and the cash flow cycle to assist in monitoring client activity. Analyzing data trends, ensuring integrity of agings, tracking ineligibles, assisting in credit summary preparation and reconcile client accounts will be a large responsibility for this position, as well as ensuring client needs are completed accurately and timely and providing a superior customer experience. The ideal candidate will understand lending and banking practices, possess the ability to work with limited supervision, identify potential risks and process deviations and take pride in formulating and collaborating on the solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The duties an Account Manager will perform include:
* Reconcile client accounts receivables and inventory to the company’s reports and calculate ineligibles.
* Coordinate with the Relationship Managers to meet customer requests for advances, over-advances and special accommodations.
* Monitor client reporting and compliance.
* Develop strong relationships with the RM’s and other daily contacts.
* Assist in analyzing and interpreting client financial data.
* Provide customer service in regards to customers collections, daily reconciling, and other customer requests.
* Reconcile and analyze daily and monthly general ledger accounts.
* Assist with preparation and analysis of client financial summaries and performance metrics.
* Generate enthusiasm among team members and foster a positive working environment.
* Develop relationships and build trust with client personnel.
* Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction.
* Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with identifying possible solutions.
* Play integral part in set up and onboarding of new customers.
* Correct application of fees charged to customer.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* 2-4 years working in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, preferably in banking.
* Desire to advance understanding of Commercial Lending, desire to become a Relationship Manager in the future.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed and fast paced environment.
* Superior skills with the Microsoft Office package (especially Excel)
* 4 year degree in Accounting, Finance, Math or similar education and/or experience preferred.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact professionally with individuals ranging from executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
