We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Trade Assistant to join our Toowoomba fabrication team.

In this role you will be part of a small team where you will be responsible for quality checks, testing, recording, assembly and mechanical adjustments to customised orders of PVC pipes, ensuring they meet customer specifications.

 

Your mechanical aptitude, technical experience to read drawings, safely work with hand tools and plastic piping, as well as pride in your craft to deliver a high-quality finish, will see you shine in this important role.

What will you do?


* Understand and interpret technical drawings and material.


* Use a variety of hand tools including drop saw, jig saws, drills to complete quality checks and testing on customised customer orders.


* Operate and ensure appropriate care when handling equipment (including measuring equipment), and that the equipment is appropriately maintained.


* Ensure that all work carried out is in accordance with the Vinidex standards and only conforming products are released for sale or stock.


* Packing and organising orders to be sent to customers.


* Complete and update required paperwork, record accurate batch details and perform quality inspections.

 


* Communicate any non-conforming components to the Fabrication Supervisor in a timely manner.
