SUMMARY

The Benefits Compliance Analyst supports the administration and compliance of retirement and welfare benefit plans, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local regulations.

This role partners with internal teams and external vendors to audit benefit programs, maintain regulatory documentation, and prepare government filings.

With a strong focus on ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and SECURE 2.0 compliance, this role is key in driving process improvements, educating stakeholders, and safeguarding the integrity of Subaru's benefits programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


* Assists with the daily management of all qualified and non-qualified retirement and welfare benefit plans.

Ensures that regulatory compliance and proper documentation requirements are met for fulfilling internal and external policy and procedure requirements.


* Assists Benefits Compliance Manager with designing and executing audit procedures of benefit programs and processes to ensure compliance and to identify and implement process improvements.


* Partners closely with internal and external teams to monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to employee benefits, including the Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), and the SECURE 2.0 Act.

Conducts research and resolves compliance issues as needed.


* Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices, providing education and updates to Human Resources (HR) team members and other stakeholders as necessary.


* Assists with the design and execution of communication and education strategies related to retirement plans and programs.

Works with vendors to plan monthly educational sessions for the benefit of plan participants.
