Software Engineering Advisors- Hybrid

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna -Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsibilities-

• Provide technology leadership and delivery accountability for solutions for multiple concurrent projects within an application family (i.e., claims, C&PS, or CS&DW);

• Partner with multiple vendors to create estimates and delivery plans for projects or programs across an application family and ensuring the quality of technology delivery of multiple vendors' technology solutions for multiple concurrent projects or programs for an application family;

• Provide technical guidance to projects and programs for complex components of multiple technology suites;

• Participate in projects for business-critical applications in health services space;

• Drive detailed specifications or designs, conduct quality assurance reviews of peers' application programming, and act as a mentor to others within these programs as necessary;

• Lead application development systems design;

• Identify and implement process enhancement opportunities associated with supporting application areas;

• Implement actions to increase Company and vendor-partner knowledge on the team;

• Set development standards that will be used across the organization;

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for components of the team;

• Partner with architects to set direction for maturing the use of, retiring, and adding technology components in the Company environment; and

• Lead efforts to develop standard practices, components, and guidelines for use of complex technology components.

Qualifications-

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computers or engineering;

• Five years of experience in a related occupation;

• PEGA CSSA Certification

• Experience reviewing technical codes;

• Experience ensuring compliance with Pega practices;

• Experience with Sprint planning;

• Experience with involvement in refinements, technical demos, and design requirements with client and multiple stakeholders;

• Experience using: Splunk, SOAP UI, Oracle, Jenkins, JIRA, Service Now, RX Home, SQL Server, MML, Confluence, Verint, and New Relic.
