Job Summary:

The Senior Equipment Trainer travels to construction sites to evaluate equipment operators, oversee the operator qualification program, and deliver classroom training.

This role ensures operators meet safety and performance standards, enhancing operational efficiency and compliance across projects.

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:


* Conduct operator evaluations at construction sites to assess skills and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.


* Deliver classroom training sessions on equipment operation, safety protocols, and best practices.


* Monitor and maintain the operator qualification program, ensuring records and certifications are up to date.


* Provide feedback and coaching to operators to improve performance and address deficiencies.


* Collaborate with site supervisors to identify training needs and develop tailored training plans.


* Ensure training materials and evaluation tools are current and aligned with industry standards.


* Travel to various construction sites to perform Apprenticeship training and evaluation duties.


* Perform additional assignments as requested.

 

Qualifications:


* High School Diploma or GED.


* 5-8+ years of heavy equipment operation experience and general construction knowledge.


* Solar construction experience preferred.


* Hands-on experience in construction trades with a strong understanding of renewable industry practices.


* 1-2 years of NCCER Instructor experience preferred.


* Previous experience in classroom facilitation preferred.
