Export Coordinator

If you are looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting role for you based in Marshalltown, IA!  As an Export Coordinator you will be responsible for international shipments from North American plants, service centers, parts warehouse and other distribution locations.

On a day-to-day basis you will be working with the Project Management, Sales and International Sales teams to coordinate timely shipment of projects.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:


* Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities, simultaneously set priorities in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and as a team.


* Manage orders through a variety of web based tools.


* Provide support for international offices/contacts/representatives using Fisher system information.


* Correspond with external organizations such as customs agents, freight forwarders/agents and carriers.


* Obtain necessary information on incomplete or revised shipping requirements.


* Obtain quotes for freight and containerization.


* Complete advanced shipping documentation, including use of various customer specific forms.


* Responsible for correct completion of all documents and retrieval in accordance with record keeping requirements.


* Following shipment, responsible for correct completion of all documents and retrieval in accordance with record keeping requirements.


* Ensure compliance with international laws, regulations, and procedures regarding movement of goods.


* Other duties as assigned by management.


* Actively engages Freight Forwarding agents and carriers in arranging customer pickups

For This Role, You Will Need:


* 2-year degree or experience in Trade Compliance, Logistics or related field.

4 year degree is preferred. 


* Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and email.


* Knowledge of Oracle Systems is a plus 


* Must perform well in a fast-paced team environment.
