SW-Administrative Assistant
Heluna Health and RTI International seek an Administrative Assistant to serve as research management support staff to the study’s Field Project Coordinator (FSC).
This is a 50%-time position at 20 hours per week and benefited.
We are seeking a flexible, detail-oriented, and well-organized candidate who has experience working on community-based research projects with vulnerable and stigmatized populations.
This position will provide administrative support to the Field Study Coordinator, as they supervise the field investigation team and manages survey data collection in two study locations (Gaston & Burke county).
This position demands that this assistant be a quick learner who can take direction and execute numerous tasks simultaneously with rigor and efficiency.
Employment is provided by Heluna Health.
The hourly rate for the role is $20.00 per hour.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist Field Study Coordinator (FSC) with administrative functions as directed, including:
* data collection (RedCap)
* participant eligibility and study recruitment
* tracking study participants for longitudinal data collection
* taking meeting minutes
* preparing and organizing team meetings
* other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field preferred
* Minimum of one (1) year experience with community-based data collection
* Experience working with people who use illicit drugs preferred
* Familiarity with the practice and principles of harm reduction preferred
* Experience using computerized questionnaire data collection systems preferred
* Experience coordinating community-based research preferred

* Proficiency with RedCap
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Access, Word, Outlook, and Excel)
* Proficiency with Google program (Sheets, Docs, Calendar, Slides)
* Proficiency with Canva
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent organizational, time management skills and attention to detail
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively in a team environment
* Ability to take initiative and work independently
* Ability to be non-judgmental toward people who use drugs
* Ability to apply harm reduction principles to daily tasks and interactions with others
* Ability to lead and direct the work of others
* Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
