DGM - Indirect Tax

To oversee Indirect tax compliances, Audit, litigations for some of the key Schneider India legal entities and need to work with internal business partners, strategic and routine advisory to business teams, identify and implement process improvements opportunities and drive positive changes across the organization.

This includes:

• Manage Tax assessments/ audits.

Handle indirect tax litigation, appear before authorities, draft replies/ appeals, deal with consultants/ advocates.

• Responsible to ensure indirect tax compliances for key Schneider India legal entites.

• Working closely with cross functional teams and designing or improving tax compliance process

• Interface with Auditors and support finance team in finalization of statutory accounts, tax audit, etc.

• Provide strong support to Manager in business planning & strategizing in Indirect Taxation for SE India group.

• Work on various projects impacting the future strategy of the indirect tax function to minimize or to mitigate litigation.

• Develop sound understanding of business, Partner with business and provide timely support in decision making.

Close co-ordination with the business teams to monitor and manage tax risks.

• Coordinate with Global tax team, share required details and imbibe best practices.


* Keeping up to date with changes in law/ procedures to pre-empt and carry out compliance requirements and sharing knowledge and updates.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant or Lawyer with strong tax acumen having at least 10-11 years of post-qualification relevant tax experience preferably at a large multinational organization with manufacturing setup.

• The candidate should have progressive tax experience with exposure to Indian Indirect tax (including VAT, Excise, Service Tax)

• The candidate should have sound understanding of ERPs such as SAP, ORACLE and possess good digital acumen and have worked on the tax digital transformation projects.

• The candidate must be a person of integrity who subscribes to high business ethical standards.

• The candidate should have project management, interpersonal, communication & analytical skills.

• The candidate should be a team player and have the experience of independently managing key stakeholders at leadership level.
