2nd Shift 1000T Stamping/Press Operator

Position Purpose & Summary

Assist with day-to-day operations of the Stamping Department to ensure customer requirements are met while ensuring procedures are followed to provide a safe and efficient working environment.

2nd Shift Position 2pm -10:30PM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following:



* Assists in the Sets-up progressive dies in an efficient and accurate manner utilizing proper guarding and established safety procedures.

Including Shakers, Bolting and Unbolting Die, Hooking up Die Protection.


* Assists in the loading of steel coils, including loading coil tags, Zero out end of Coil.


* Complete Company LOTO Training


* Must pass HILO Training.


* Removes scrap and applies lubricants as needed.


* Conducts the visual and dimensional checks of parts for defects per Control Plan.


* Maintains a constant watch of die and stock to prevent mis-hits and jamming of parts.


* Participates, recommends, and initiates solutions through team concept.


* Uses lock-out procedures and notifies the supervisor.


* Shuts down any type of machine that has a hazardous condition that can create an unsafe condition for an operator or any person in the area. 


* Supports and follows all safety rules as well as Company policies and/or rules.


* Shuts down any process if that product does not meet its specific quality requirement.


* Reports production and time on CRT


* Print Labels and ID Baskets.


* Follows ISO 14001 requirements per standards.


* Follows IATF16949 requirements per standards.


* Works with team members / management staff to attain Company goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.  The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to walk.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and hearing protection is required.
