Senior Test Station Automation Engineer

Your Job

Molex is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Station Automation Engineer with expertise in C, C++, Python, and UI design.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a keen eye for user-centric design, and the ability to drive complex projects from concept to completion.

You will be responsible for working with our team to create, maintain and update software applications, APIs and tools that focus on the design, manufacture, and deployment of our optical modules, including controlling embedded devices and lab equipment.

The developer will work closely with the project manager, process and optical engineers as well as our technicians to design and implement various process requests.

What You Will Do


* Design, develop, and deploy software solutions to support manufacturing processes.

This includes managing component subassemblies, component alignment (manual and automated), automated calibration and automated testing.


* Evaluate and analyze process requirements, and document processes through flowcharts, diagrams, and code comments with consistent clarity.

Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources effectively.


* Participate in code reviews, to ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards.


* Collaborate with mechanical, optical and process engineers to review specifications and process instructions, produce technical documentation.


* Perform application testing prior to deployment, maintain deployed applications and investigate released applications for potential user and performance improvements.


* Manage post-deployment bug fixing, troubleshooting issues, and perform tests to ensure optimal product performance.


* Manages tasks with software tracking software as well as providing code updates within our Revision control system


* Prepare operating manuals for users, train them, and provide ongoing support and assistance, ensuring their understanding and satisfaction with the software.
