HVAC Technician

Set Pay Rate: 29.56 per hourSHIFT: 7:30am-4:00pm Job Summary:Responsible for diagnosing and resolving HVAC issues.

Position requires strong interpersonal skills and compassion and respect for persons with disabilitiesEssential Functions:


* Diagnose and resolve plumbing related issues.


* General knowledge and back up of Plumbing skills


* Respond to emergency service calls promptly.


* Read blueprint, building plans and schematics as required.


* Use a variety of power tools hand tools and measuring devices/meters to perform job function.


* Perform preventive maintenance on various types plumbing equipment.


* Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of equipment.


* Monitor, identify and respond promptly to malfunctioning of equipment.


* Ensures contract performance in accordance with the direction and policies of Chimes DC


* Performs quality work in accordance with safety procedures.


* Comply with priorities for the flow of work


* Use technology for the completion of specified job duties


* Use and care for equipment properly following all safety requirements


* Attend work regularly according to assigned work schedule


* Wear ID badge(s) at all times while performing work under this contract.


* Follow instructions


* Attend and participate in all meetings and activities to facilitate professional development


* Work cooperatively with others in a positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and courteous manner


* Comply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications


* Pass and comply with rules for the site, security and safety guidelines, and Chimes District of Columbia Rules for the Workplace, and ensure others do the same


* Assist as needed during Snow removal

Physical Abilities Needed to Meet Work Demands:


* Work requires good dexterity and physical condition.


* Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time


* Ability to work in confined spaces


* Ability to go up and down stairs


* Ability to get into and out of truck


* Ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, stoop


* Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 75 lbs.
