Advanced Practice Provider Gastroenterology

Nemours is seeking an experienced full time Advanced Practice Provider for our Orlando GI Team!

Key Responsibilities


* Practices collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers to provide high quality healthcare to children.


* Performs appropriate assessment of patient/family upon referral/admission.


* Performs ongoing assessment and evaluation of patient progress and revision of interdisciplinary plan of care.


* May use prescriptive authority if appropriately credentialed to do so.


* Collaborates interprofessionally as needed.


* Identifies patient/family need for further resources and initiates appropriate referrals.


* Assists the Staff Nurse in formulating the Nursing Care Plan and setting priorities based on the needs of patient and family.


* Documents patient care and progress on patient's chart.


* Coordinates Nursing Plan for Discharge in collaboration with the Staff Nurse and other members of the health care team.

Qualifications


* APRN: Current unrestricted Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License to practice in the state(s) in which privileges are sought; Pediatric (preferred) or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification via National Certification Center; AHA BLS upon hire.

FL RN (or compact state), FL APRN, FL DEA-(division specific, included in the attached addendum)


* PA-C: Current unrestricted Physician Assistant License to practice in the state(s) in which privileges are sought; National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, AHA BLS upon hire.
