Job Description:

The New York County District Attorney's Office is seeking an Analyst for the Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Bureau's (IPSV) Early Case Engagement Team within the Special Victims Division.

The IPSV is responsible for all felony sexual assault prosecutions in Manhattan involving victims aged 14 and older, as well as cases related to Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).

The Early Case Engagement Team is a newly established initiative focused on conducting pre-arrest investigations in IPV cases and ensuring survivors receive immediate access to critical survivor services and resources.

In this role, the Analyst will provide comprehensive support to the Director of the Early Case Engagement Team and the Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) prosecuting these cases.

This position offers a unique opportunity to directly impact the lives of survivors by assisting in the coordination of services and the pursuit of justice.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


* Collaborating closely with the Director of the Early Case Engagement Team to conduct thorough initial reviews of criminal complaints and domestic incident reports submitted by the New York Police Department.


* Investigating cases by generating subpoenas, obtaining evidence, reviewing, and analyzing documents, and conducting searches of online databases to gather relevant information.


* Scheduling interviews with English and Spanish-speaking survivors, ensuring efficient coordination, and attending interviews to take notes that support case documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping.


* Partnering with advocates from the Survivor Services Bureau and outside agencies to coordinate essential services and support for survivors.


* Compiling discovery materials in cases, ensuring accurate and timely preparation for legal proceedings.


* Tracking, organizing, and centralizing data, records, and statistics related to cases and team activities.


* Drafting correspondence and legal documents with attention to detail and compliance with legal requirements.


* Creating charts, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations to support Early Case Engagement initiatives and team reporting.


* Performing general administrative and clerical tasks to support the team's operational needs.

In addition to the Minimum Qualification Requirements, candidates must possess the following:


* Must be fluent in Spanish and;


* Level 1 - bachelor's degree from an accredited college.


* Level 2 - bachelor's degree from an accredited college and one (1) year of experience either as a paralegal in the criminal justice field or equivalent.
