As the Mechanical Engineer for this role will provide design, development, optimization and problem solving of personal care converting equipment and process solutions for Air Systems technology in support of various capital/commercialization projects and business continuity initiatives.
You’ll report to a Research & Engineering Manager and receives direction from the Project Engineering Lead and Business Continuity Team Lead in the form of both specific and broadly defined objectives.
Key customers include project team members, product supply, manufacturing plants, and engineering technical leadership.
In this role you will:
* Provide mechanical engineering leadership to a team of internal and external engineers and developers to establish equipment designs that deliver against process and product success criteria.
Involvement spans from project inception through commercialization
* Provide creativity in the design, development, and optimization of Personal Care converting and manufacturing equipment and processes to meet business unit objectives
* Work closely with the product, material and engineering leads to provide functional guidance in the design, development and/or optimization of converting equipment/processes to meet unit objectives
* Lead the design, development, and implementation of Process Air Systems solutions for our high-speed converting processes
* Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized as an effective implementer of engineering principles and scientific analysis, and project management
* Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner.
Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines
* Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel
* Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives
