EHS Coordinator

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD), a Koch company, is looking for an EHS Coordinator to join our team.

The EHS Coordinator will support the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs.

This role is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to learn and grow in the EHS field, while helping to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

This role will be onsite Monday - Friday at our headquarters in Katy, TX.

This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.

What You Will Do


* Support the shop, warehouse, and office in EHS matters including safe permitting processes and incident investigations.


* Organize and participate in inspections to ensure safe operations and work practices.


* Maintain database maintenance to ensure accurate and up-to-date information in propriety software (ISN, VeriForce, Enablon, Etc.).


* Coordinate and lead compliance audits & inspections.


* Develop and present EHS training as well as conduct new hire orientation.


* Assist in leading EHS committee activities and following up on action items.


* Drive environmental excellence to ensure compliance with state & local government regulations.


* Facilitate continuous improvement by identifying creative solutions to gaps in systems and processes.


* Develop a culture of trust with all OPD employees and contractors by establishing and cultivating relationships through effective interactions and timely response to EHS related inquiries.


* Travel up to 10% to field sites as needed.

Physical Demands


* Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, cold, inclement weather, and high elevations.


* Lifting and carrying objects up to 60 lbs.


* Standing extended periods of time.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Experience supporting EHS hazard evaluations.


* Experience with Microsoft Office or similar applications for effective communication and database maintenance.


* Valid driver's license.


* Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future.

What Will Put You Ahead


* Certification or degree in Occupational Safety & Health Management, Industrial Hygiene, or other related degrees.


* Experience supporting a metal fabrication shop or heavy construction.
