Summary - basic function of the role

As a Lab Test Technician, you will be responsible for the performance testing and validation of new and existing products developed within the Columbus, WI location.

Must be a self-starter, team oriented, process focused individual with the ability to work in a continuous process improvement environment.

A strong customer focus is required with the ability to meet the customer's needs.

Shift: Monday - Friday; 8 - 4:30 pm or 8:30 - 5:00 pm; flexible

Job Duties and Responsibilities


* Work closely with the Engineering Teams to continuously improve current product offerings


* Primary responsibility will be testing and validation of new and existing products


* Act as a liaison between the technical and commercial teams


* Creation and documentation of test criteria and inspection reports


* Build new product prototypes from engineering documentation


* Display strong skills in teamwork, the ability to effectively work/communicate with all team members


* Take ownership/responsibility of projects or products


* Generate and implement improvement ideas in efforts of driving continuous improvement


* Aid Engineers in determining performance and robustness of new product designs


* Use of metrology and inspection equipment


* Transfer of product specifications to training and technical teams

Skills and Competencies


* Strong mechanical aptitude with a minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing, industrial, diesel, or automotive environment required


* Experience with measuring material, angle finding, 80/20 assembly, powered hand tools


* Ability to read drawings and determine best MFG sequence of components.


* Ability to revise-rework hydraulic and electrical systems initiated thru R&D process


* Excellent work ethic with the ability to work in an unsupervised team environment


* Proficient in Microsoft suit - Excel, Word, PowerPoint


* Familiarity with High pressure (10K psi) hydraulic systems is a plus
