The Building & Construction team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services and building science solutions to deliver Total Quality Assurance to the built environment.

What are we looking for?

The Wall Builder / Test Technician is responsible for building wall structures and performing standard testing and evaluation on a variety of products as well as preparing technical reports.

What you'll do:


* Setting up test apparatus


* Building test walls and assemblies


* Operating equipment


* Obtaining and recording test data in accordance with standards


* Analyzing test data and performing routing calculations


* Prepare technical reports


* May extract and compile engineering data


* Prepare project files for compliance with operating procedures


* May make recommendations regarding technical decisions relating to the interpretation and applicability of test standards


* May communicate with clients and management


* May provide support to sales or other departments as required


* Operating a forklift


* Performing other work as required

What it takes to be successful in this role:


* High school diploma or equivalent


* Carpentry or Construction building experience preferred


* Forklift operator experience preferred


* 1-3 years directly related experience


* Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools


* Mechanical aptitude, Carpentry, and/or Facility Maintenance skills


* Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner


* Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions


* Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables


* Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment


* Strong interpersonal skills
