Clinical Outcomes Specialist - Cerebral Palsy & Neuromotor (Full Time, Day shift)

Job Summary

The Clinical Outcomes Specialist supports and promotes the Cerebral Palsy & Neuromotor program initiatives across all of its clinics and interdisciplinary services, including clinical effectiveness, quality, regulatory compliance, clinical outcomes processes, peer review, clinical benchmarking, Information Technology integration of outcome measures, and research activities.

Responsible for performing rehabilitation clinical measures, administering patient-reported outcome questionnaires, and tracking patient-specific functional outcomes to assess program and patient metrics.

The role involves participating in health outcomes research design, data collection, and data analysis with support from the research department.

Collaborates with research and clinical teams on original research, supports various research projects and quality improvement initiatives, prepares reports and publications, and presents at local and national meetings.

Integrates clinical data with the Quality, Finance, Information Technology, and BI departments and evaluates patient care infrastructure to ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards.

Evaluates and treats patients within the scope of physical therapy as needed for program goals.

Lastly, works on special projects as assigned in support of program goals.

Job Specific Duties


* Assists leaders with the facilitation and coordination of in-services (within department and/or across hospital) specific to evidenced-informed practices/literature review with a focus on clinical expertise/program outcomes. 


* Partners with Dyad Physician Leaders and Program Manager, as well as aligns with the Brain and Orthopedic Leadership Team. 


* Collects, analyzes, and interprets data for the Cerebral Palsy & Neuromotor Program to identify opportunities for improvement and recommends updates to enhance performance. 


* Works independently on complex projects to support program growth, efficiency, and operations in providing care to patients with Cerebral Palsy and/or Neuromotor disorders, including patient access to care. 


* Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop clinical competencies and care pathways/protocols to standardize and elevate the quality of care for the program population. 


* Supports the program in data reviews for decision-making, developing clinical outcomes, and process improvement measures. 


* Collaborates with the program manager, physicians, and stakeholders on clinical metrics and functional outcomes for the CP & Neuromotor Program, as well as coordinates with stakeholders to implement improvements to Electronic Medical Record content. 


* Participates in research related to CP & Neuromotor Center of Excellence (COE), including literature review, administering assessments, data collection, and analysis with the support/leadership of the research department.
