Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Hourly Rate: $21.00 an hour

Department: Housekeeping

Location: The Woodcliff Hotel and Spa

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager/Director

Seasonal Position:

This is a seasonal opening between April 2025- approximately November/December 2025

Job Summary:

You are vital to the success of your department because you know what it takes to ensure cleanliness.

You understand the job and what is necessary for a hotel to offer truly excellent housekeeping.

You assist housekeeping management in realizing their vision of excellence and work side by side with the housekeeping staff to help them understand exactly what is expected of them, especially when it comes to new hires

This role requires two years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, with prior supervisory experience preferred.

Must know how to effectively use the various pieces of equipment/tools used in housekeeping.

Long hours are sometimes required.

Must be able to multitask.

Must possess excellent communication skills - fluency in reading, writing and speaking English required.

Key Responsibilities:


* Pertain daily inspections to include guestrooms, public spaces, and laundry.


* Greet and assist guests ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.


* Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, adhering to health and OSHA safety regulations and guidelines.


* Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently.


* Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.


* Monitor inventory levels for supplies and report any shortages.


* Train and supervise staff members, ensuring adherence to company policies and service standards.


* Implement and uphold brand standards and guidelines for hospitality services.

Qualifications:


* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred


* Experience: 2 years in hospitality supervision


* Skills: Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving, s and multitasking skills.

* Previous experience supervising diverse staff


* Previous experience in hospitality, hospitals, or janitorial businesses


* Proficiency in multiple languages for effective guest communication.


* Familiarity with hospitality software, reservation systems and property management systems.

Working Conditions:



* Fast-paced environment with varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


* Requires standing for long periods and occasional lifting of supplies or equipment.


* Interaction with guests and staff in a dynamic and service-oriented setting.

Physical Requirements:

Physical requirements include the ability to perform medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
