Position Summary

The P6 Scheduler is responsible for supporting site leadership and construction operations and project management teams in developing, maintaining, and reporting upon detailed project schedules.

This position ensures project schedule details are accurate, consistent, and monitored through the project life cycle.

Position is to support capital work in Longview, TX from May to October 2025.

Primary Responsibilities


* Assist the site leadership in developing project scope of work for required Project Controls tasks


* Collaborate with preconstruction, development, and project management to develop and maintain detailed schedules of construction projects


* Study and understand all relevant project documents pertaining to the preparation of schedules


* Work with all relevant projects and discipline personnel to prepare schedules


* Convert the scope of work documents into a logically linked, resourced project schedule


* Prepare realistic, achievable schedules using logical networks and where necessary integrate engineering, procurement, and construction schedules with an emphasis on the engineering and procurement pieces


* Develop progress curves and manpower histograms


* Monitor progress against project schedule and prepare progress reports


* Collect expended man-hours and prepare Earned Value reports and analysis


* Prepare, review, and ensure the timely issue of all relevant reports to stakeholders


* Verbally and in writing advise project management and discipline personnel on impacts, and contingencies and generally guide the scopes towards the earliest possible finish


* Provide realistic resource forecast data at a project and corporate level


* Manage cost discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of man-hour budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests is properly assessed and included in the schedules


* Participate in schedule and project risk analysis as required


* Analyze progress and effects on schedule and advise necessary corrective actions


* Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews.


* Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems.


* Review change request/change order logs with site leadership weekly.
