General Purpose:
The Dietary Aide supports the kitchen team in meal service and sanitation, assisting the Cook and Dietary Supervisor to ensure residents receive quality meals in a clean, safe environment.

Essential Duties:


* Set up and deliver meal trays.


* Strip returned trays and operate the dishwasher.


* Assist in meal service and preparation of nourishments/snacks.


* Monitor and record dishwashing water temperatures and chlorine concentration.


* Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen floors.


* Remove trash and store groceries safely and neatly.


* Clean work surfaces, equipment, and refrigerators.


* Maintain kitchen cleanliness and assist as needed.


* Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.


* Foster positive working relationships across departments.

Qualifications:


* High school diploma or equivalent (required).


* Food Handlers' Certificate (required or able to obtain).


* Ability to read and follow recipes and sanitation procedures.


* Basic math skills (fractions, percentages).


* Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:


* Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).


* Occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching.


* Ability to work in a moderate noise kitchen environment.
