Pharmacy Technician Specialist – Inpatient – Evenings

Work Schedule :

100% FTE; Evening; Hours Vary 2:00PM - 11:00PM.

1 in every 4 th weekend rotation required.

You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

* Shift differentials available for evenings after 3:00PM, and on weekend shifts.

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to:


* Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, perform inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions, provide excellent customer service, and maintain pharmacy records.


* Demonstrate exemplary teamwork and work as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team.


* Adapt to a changing environment, demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude to complete any work within the scope of the role.

The ideal candidate will have sterile compounding or hazardous drug compounding experience.

Experience performing in a fast-paced and high-volume environment preferred.

Teamwork and attention to detail are essential to this role.

Qualifications



* High School Diploma or equivalent Required


* Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program Preferred

Work Experience



* 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school.

* Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration Upon Hire Required


* Certified Pharmacy Technician Preferred
