Logistics Design and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Engineer
The Logistics Design and VSM Engineer will play a pivotal role in analyzing and improving the flow of materials and information within our logistics processes.
This position involves leading the development of end-to-end value stream maps, identifying inefficiencies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a strong background in lean methodologies and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership: Lead and mentor Logistics Methods to achieve process improvement goals.
* Value Stream Mapping: Oversee the creation and maintenance of value stream maps for various logistics processes, including distribution center, transportation, and inventory management.
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic transformation plans to optimize logistics operations and enhance customer value.
* Process Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of current state processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
* Continuous Improvement: Champion lean principles and best practices across the organization to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of improvements.
* Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members on VSM techniques and lean methodologies.
* Reporting: Generate detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
A Master's degree is preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related area, with a focus on process improvement and lean methodologies.
* Skills: Expertise in value stream mapping, lean tools, and techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration and influencing skills.
Comfortable to challenge status quo.
