This position reports into Planning Manager and is based at Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

Role reports to: Planning Manager

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

Travel %: 25%

What you will do

The Planning Specialist is responsible for providing statistical forecast input, analyzing internal capacity, developing plans to align supply and demand, participating in demand review processes, implementing forecasting software, monitoring performance metrics, and making recommendations for forecast improvements:

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans and initiatives to optimize planning processes and enhance efficiency

• Analyze data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and achieve business objectives

• Implement innovative solutions to improve forecasting accuracy and resource allocation

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve planning strategies

• Develop accurate demand forecasts for specific business unit(s) / product line(s) by analyzing internal capacity and aligning supply and demand to meet customer requirements

• Participate in demand review process and collaborate with marketing & sales to develop consensus forecast

• Prepare monthly reports within specified time frames and communicate findings to management for forecast cycles and monthly actual closings

• Assist in the preparation of special studies, reports, and analyses to drive costs & process improvements

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field

• 2-4 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or related role

• University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in a relevant field

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identifying patterns, and generate actionable insights
