Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Based in our Aiken, SC location; you will be responsible to improve the manufacturing processes, production layouts and material flow of our manufacturing plant through automation and/or engineering solutions.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:


* Leadership and Team Management:
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
+ Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the engineering team.


* Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement:
+ Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
+ Lead and manage Six Sigma projects to reduce variability and enhance product quality.
+ Drive Kaizen events and initiatives to continuously improve production processes and employee engagement.


* Project Management:
+ Oversee engineering projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to implement engineering changes and improvements.


* Process Optimization and Technical Support:
+ Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
+ Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety.
+ Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve manufacturing issues.


* Quality Assurance and Compliance:
+ Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Work closely with the quality assurance team to maintain high standards of product quality and consistency.


* Cost Management:


* Develop and manage budgets for the engineering department.

Define CAPEX budgets, monitor, report and control expenditure of the budget


* Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements and technology enhancements.

For This Role, You Will Need:


* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field such as industrial technology.


* Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
