Factory Footprint Project Transport Lead

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Expert to support manufacturing footprint projects across North America.

This role involves optimizing transportation logistics, ensuring efficient factory operations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance supply chain performance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in transportation management, logistics planning, and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:


* Logistics Optimization:Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation logistics for manufacturing footprint projects.


* Project Management:Lead and manage transportation aspects of manufacturing projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.


* Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with internal teams, including supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing operations, as well as external partners such as carriers and vendors.


* Route Planning:Design and optimize transportation routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.


* Compliance:Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations and safety standards.


* Data Analysis:Analyze transportation data to identify trends, monitor performance, and recommend improvements.


* Cost Management:Monitor transportation costs and implement strategies to achieve cost savings.


* Problem Solving:Address and resolve transportation-related issues and challenges in a timely manner.


* Continuous Improvement:Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

Education:Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, or a related field.

Experience:Minimum 7-10 years of experience in transportation management, logistics planning, and manufacturing operations.

Skills:


* Strong understanding of transportation logistics and manufacturing operations.


* Excellent project management and organizational skills.


* Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.


* Effective communication and negotiation skills.


* Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.


* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
