Advanced Practice Provider Lead - Hematology Oncology-Nemours Children's Hospital

Nemours is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Hematology/Oncology team in Orlando, Florida as the Lead Advanced Practice Provider!

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) lead is responsible for the supervision, leadership, and mentoring of a group of hematology/oncology APPs in collaboration with the Inpatient Pediatric APP Manager and Service Line Administrator.

The APP Lead will also be required to complete all job duties of the APPs in the Hematology/Oncology service line, which include providing care for pediatric patients, including interview of patients, obtaining and recording health histories, completes physical and developmental assessments, diagnosing health problems, manages the health care of those patients for which he/she has been educated, provides health care teaching and counseling, initiates referrals and maintains health records in the inpatient and/or outpatient settings.

Qualifications


* Must have current APRN or PA license in good standing; Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification preferred


* Current AHA BLS certification upon hire; PALS to be obtained within 90 days of hire


* Minimum of two years Pediatric APP experience required: Hematology/Oncology experience HIGHLY preferred; Intensive Care, Acute Care or ED experience accepted


* Prior leadership experience is preferred, but not required.


* New to Practice APPs will NOT be considered for this position
