Account Manager TM - Federal

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Inside Sales Professional to join our team and drive sales within the federal sector! The Federal Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a defined federal customer base, identifying new business opportunities and building strong channel relationships in addition to quoting, sales forecasting, and pipeline management.

This role requires a deep understanding of federal procurement processes, spending cycles, and contracting regulations.

Essential Job Duties:


* Maintain current knowledge of vendor systems, programs and processes to enable swift and accurate partner support


* Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the federal market across the ScanSource line card


* Skillfully prepare quotes and negotiate effectively to drive deals to closure


* Demonstrate expertise in government contracting vehicles and federal procurement processes


* Serve as a strategic advisor to support Federal business in other segments, ensure regulatory compliance and grow market share in this vertical


* Navigate internal departments and resources to answer customer inquiries swiftly and accurately


* Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets


* Track and report on sales performance and progress towards goals


* Build strategic relationships within complex organizations to understand client needs, develop customer loyalty and deliver SCSC fulfillment solutions


* Maintain customer information in SFDC, log interactions, forecast opportunities and manage pipeline


* Deliver a "wow" experience to ScanSource customers by going the extra mile in communication and efforts to satisfy their business needs


* Achieving defined SLAs, KPIs and other departmental goals along with some reporting requirements


* Coordinate order processing with the Sales Operations team in an organized and effective manner, processing non-Cisco opportunities as needed


* Process PCAs as needed


* Other duties as assigned

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred:


* Proven experience in inside sales, preferably within the technology distribution industry


* Understanding of government contracting vehicles


* Proficiency in SAP (or other ERP) and CRM software

Physical Requirements:


* Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
