KIPP Capital Region is a part of a national network of high-performing public Charter Schools committed to creating joyful, academically excellent, and prepared students with the skills, ability, and confidence to pursue their paths to college, career, and beyond.

With the Troy Prep K-12 schools joining the KIPP Capital Region network for the 2022-2023 school year, our KIPP schools will serve more than 2,500 students across the Capital Region.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Manager of Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging partners with the Managing Director of Equity to develop and implement initiatives to promote Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at the School and Regional levels.

This includes facilitating training, community outreach, and measuring the effectiveness of organizational equity initiatives and programs.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES


* Build and lead appropriate workshops by researching, gathering, analyzing data, and designing equity workshops for all levels within the Region and Schools, including students.


* Regularly evaluate qualitative feedback, quantitative data, and observations to inform strategy, decision-making, and accountability.


* Significantly strong project management skills, time management skills, and an ability to multitask effectively and prioritize work efforts with a dedication to meeting due dates and timeframes.


* Knowledge of DEI language, program design, development, management, measurement, and evaluation with preferred understanding and/or experience with Emergent Strategies, Abolitionist Teaching/Pedagogy, Transformative Justice, Identity-Affirming initiatives


* Demonstrates integrity in words and actions and encourages ethical behavior and decision-making, working in a complex, fast-paced environment that demands continuous learning and improvement.


* Provide collaborative leadership, facilitation, and implementation of key initiatives with School and Regional leaders to advance Anti-Racism, Equity, and Inclusion strategies.


* Create and facilitate equity training programs that educate and develop our community on the importance of equity, unconscious bias, microaggressions, and other relevant topics.


* Conduct audits to identify areas of development using an equity lens within the organization and make recommendations for improvement.
