Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Network Engineer

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's Infrastructure Platform Network Services team , you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline.

Job responsibilities



* Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope


* Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies


* Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes


* Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity


* Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions


* Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills



* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience with network design, engineering and implementation experience within a large enterprise environment


* Experience with Cisco datacenter fabric and DMZ architecture


* Experience on BGP, OSFP, EIGRP, VRF, TCP/IP, ISP routing


* Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming/scripting/DevOps languages: Python, Ansible, Terraform, JSON


* Understanding of micro-services, CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, APIs


* Experience of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments


* Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product


* Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds


* Experience leading the deployment of scalable network solutions


* Experience with Level 4 escalation for operational issues

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills



* Experience with network security technologies such as firewall, proxy, and load balancer


* Experience with internet services traverse through the DMZ


* Experience working with Agile methodologies like Kanban & Scrum
