Manufacturing Engineer, Design for Manufacture and Paint Technologies
The Manufacturing Engineer, Design for Manufacture and Paint Technologies provides technical consultative, tactical, and strategic global support for paint technologies and operations. In addition, this position works closely with the engineering design teams to guide early-stage new product development to ensure alignment with the latest manufacturing strategies; collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing to coordinate a smooth manufacturing rollout of new products; and serve as a leader driving global initiatives focused on improving safety, manufacturing sustainability, efficiency, and standardization.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Support paint qualification efforts of plant operations and suppliers, including inspection and coordination for testing of submitted samples
* Advise Project Management and Global Industry Sales on current practices and options available for paint. When necessary to meet customer requirements, advise Operations on adjustments to meet those requirements.
* Serve as manufacturing representative on new product design teams to ensure that the planned introduction aligns with manufacturing strategy and the design is manufacturable
* Coordinate manufacturing planning and execution for new and existing products with world area and site teams through digital collaboration tools, meetings, or other project management tools
* Serve as manufacturing approver on technical reviews and other engineering design planning meetings to provide manufacturing input on early-stage designs
* Create and maintain global manufacturing procedures to document process details and share best practices
* Travel to global manufacturing locations as required

For This Role, You Will Need:
* BA/BS in Business, Engineering or Operations related field
* More than 5 years of professional experience
* Experience collaborating with remote teams
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
* Previous design or manufacturing engineering experience preferred
* Excellent leadership and communication skills in a global environment
* Five years related Flow Controls experience preferred
* Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
* Able to work well with teams to tackle sophisticated problems
* Forward thinking – ability to research and implement innovation
* Ability to successfully implement process change
