Position Summary:

Engineers at the Kimberly Clark, Beech Island facility provide leadership and execution in solving daily safety, productivity, cost and quality issues to meet business objectives.  In addition, engineers establish continuous improvement plans to address chronic longer-term issues and advance the capability of the assets.  Engineers work cross functionally with the Staff Research & Engineering teams to develop and implement new products or assets.  The incumbent reports to an Engineering Team leader and receives direction in the form of general project objectives.  It starts with YOU. 

In this role, you will:


* Lead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $1 million from conception through commercialization.


* Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and processes to meet unit objectives.


* Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner.  Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines.  Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.


* Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to determine root cause.


* Collaborate with the staff Program Leaders to conduct trials at the mill.
