Role reports to: Sales Director

Location: Malaysia

What you will do

The Head of General Trade is responsible for overseeing the development and servicing of national/key accounts to achieve business sales objectives.

You will report results against forecasts to senior management, establish incentive plan parameters, and manage departmental budget:

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and increase market share in the General Trade sector

• Lead a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and KPIs

• Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the company's presence in the market

• Collaborate with marketing teams to create innovative campaigns and promotions to drive brand awareness and customer engagement

• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to make informed business decisions

• Manage key accounts and build strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

• Lead and oversee the development and servicing of national/key accounts to achieve business sales objectives in alignment with senior management

• Define, design, and implement new features by collaborating with cross-functional teams

• Improve application performance through bug fixing and optimization

• Research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies to enhance development efficiency

• Establish and manage sales incentives and commissions programs

• Review and adjust departmental budget to ensure objectives are met

• Resolve complex problems and customer complaints effectively

• Present proposed plan changes to senior management for approval

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Business Administration or related field

• 8-10 years of experience in General Trade sales and management

• Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams and achieving revenue targets
