Physical Therapist- Part Time
Physical Therapist - Make a Real Difference, Every Day!
Position Summary
As a Physical Therapist, you'll be an essential part of a dynamic healthcare team focused on helping patients regain mobility, independence, and confidence.
Your work won't just change days—it'll change lives.
You'll evaluate patients, develop personalized treatment plans, and guide them through their rehab journey, one step at a time.
What You'll Do
* Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of physician referral.
If things don't go as planned, simply document the reason for the delay.
* Create customized, effective treatment plans and get approval from the referring physician.
* Deliver hands-on therapy aligned with the physician's plan and support patients through their progress.
* Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in direct patient care activities, in compliance with state regulations.
* Partner with the nursing team to train and support Restorative Aides.
* Keep open communication with your supervisor and the care team regarding patient progress, concerns, and future goals.
* Attend care planning and interdisciplinary meetings as needed (because teamwork makes the dream work!).
* Help educate other facility staff through in-service training sessions.
* Keep thorough, timely records—evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, recertification documents—all following PT Board and payer guidelines.
* Log any treatment changes per facility policy.
* Teach caregivers, families, or nursing staff how to help patients maintain their progress post-discharge.
* Take part in discharge planning and equipment recommendations—think braces, walkers, canes, grab bars, and more.
* Report any equipment issues promptly so everything stays in safe, working order.
What You Bring to the Table
* A positive, team-oriented attitude that lifts everyone around you.
* Great communication skills—whether you're working with patients, families, or fellow healthcare professionals.
* A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (Master's or Doctorate preferred).
* A current state PT license in good standing (plus ongoing CEU completion as required).
* Comfortable using clinical software like Casamba and Point Click Care.
Supervision Responsibilities
You'll supervise PTAs, therapy aides, and PT students, helping them grow while ensuring top-notch patient care.
The Physical Side of the Job
* You'll be on your feet a lot—standing, walking, reaching, and moving.
* Lifting and transferring patients or equipment may require over 50 lbs of force at times.
* Some bending, kneeling, or crouching may come with the territory.
* Strong vision (distance, color, depth) and focus adjustment are part of the job too.
