Shop Foreman, Odessa, TX

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing maintenance shop operations, supervising shop technicians and mechanics, ensuring tools, equipment and vehicles are repaired and maintained in a cost-effective manner, and safe working conditions are fostered

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


* Supervises day-to-day activities of mechanics and technicians, including but not limited to, scheduling and prioritizing work , monitoring and evaluating performance and productivity, reviewing and approving time sheets, and ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed.


* Maintains equipment and tools to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs.

Checks tools and equipment to ensure they are working properly and assess needed repairs and damages.


* Maintains and orders adequate supplies to meet the needs and demands of the operation.


* May meet with Warehouse Manager and Dispatchers to plan and coordinate activities to determine work demands, priorities and schedules.


* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Five (5) to ten (10) years of work experience in shop maintenance or as a mechanic.

Supervisory experience in maintenance work is preferred.

Prior experience in oil field related jobs desirable.

Basic knowledge of computer skills.

Knowledge of and skills in mechanical problem diagnosis and repair work.

Ability to schedule maintenance and repair work and maintain productivity.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
