Advisor, Auto Insurance Product Development

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role
Depending on the needs of the manager and the unit as a whole, your responsibilities may include assisting the manager in:
* Developing staff.
Although this position does not have direct reports, you will be mentoring and supporting staff members with their projects.
You will also be expected to provide constructive feedback directly to staff and to the manager with respect to performance evaluation.
You are encouraged to promote teambuilding and collaboration, both within the unit and with other stakeholders.
* Managing the workload and deadlines.
This could include following up with staff on project progress, balancing the work amongst staff and considering staff development needs when distributing work.
* Ensuring quality.
You may be expected to perform management-level review of work, at times standing in for the manager.
You may be expected to provide in-depth guidance to staff on difficult or complex projects.
* Increasing efficiency.
You may be responsible for supporting initiatives, such Lean Six Sigma projects, that could increase efficiency and/or quality, such process improvements, education, training and standardization.
About You and How You Can Excel in this Role
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience leading project(s) with strong records of building great internal or external customer relationships and forming collaborative partnerships.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organization, research and analytic skills.
* Deep knowledge of insurance coverage (particularly for the ISO Commercial Auto, Motorcycle, and/or Personal Umbrella lines of business) and ISO internal procedures preferred.
* Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and internal consistency.
Demonstrate initiative and commitment to identify and correct problems that arise.
* Proficient computer skills/knowledge of workflow procedures.
* Strong organization and time management skills required.
* Proven experience of proactive, effective performance management, staff development, and facilitation of motivated, empowered work culture within your team(s).
Promotes proactive problem resolution.
* Strong ability working in deadline-driven situations.
* Ability to multitask and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work independently with proper direction and minimal supervision.
* Excellent fact-checking and trouble-shooting skills.
* Ability to coordinate projects and engage meaningfully across departments.
* CPCU exam study or completion is a plus and strongly encouraged.
