Laundry Aide
Full Time 12pm-8pm, rotating 4 on 2 off shifts
Wage DOE: $17.75-$22.19
Description
The Laundry position at Colonial Vista Post Acute plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare services by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for the proper handling, washing, drying, and folding of linens & resident clothing.
Your work directly impacts patient care, staff wellbeing, and the overall cleanliness of the facility.
With a focus on efficiency and sanitation, you will adhere to stringent infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
You will utilize commercial laundry equipment and follow best practices for operating machines and managing laundry supplies.
Additionally, attention to detail is essential, as you will inspect items for damage or stains and labeling of resident clothing.

Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and folding machines.
* Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens resident clothing according to specified procedures.
* Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, damages, or stains before preparing them for distribution.
* Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning agents and supplies to promote a safe work environment.
* Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines at all times.
* Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for laundry facilities and equipment.
* Collaborate with nursing staff and other departments to coordinate laundry needs and timelines.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent education.
* Previous experience in a commercial laundry facility or similar role preferred.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in laundry operations.
* Ability to operate laundry equipment efficiently and safely.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols.
* Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
