Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Product Development Co-op to join our Product Development Team located in Danvers, MA.

Position Summary

The Product Development team is focused on rapidly developing the next generation of percutaneously implanted cardiac pumps.

Our team is leading or engaging in the development of the entire system including pump/catheter/motor, access/repositioning sheaths, and clinical best practices, training, and pump management techniques.

This co-op position on our team will:


* Assist in the design of components/fixtures


* Conduct engineering tests for design improvement


* Conduct failure analysis under mentorship of senior engineering staff


* Analyze data and present results to larger Engineering team

Qualifications:


* Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in mechanical, biomedical engineering, or directly related discipline


* Strong design, testing, and analytical skills required (e.g.

engineering and statistical analysis)


* Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal


* Knowledge of SolidWorks preferred


* Experience with machining and/or 3D printing is a plus

Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.  Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
