Purpose:

This Engineer will support the Wound Closure & Healing and Biosurgery (WCHB) and R&D Life Cycle Management (LCM) group.  They will apply their scientific expertise as the R&D representative on cross-functional project teams to ensure robust designs, scientific rigor, and data driven decision making to meet the projects goals, objectives and milestones.

The candidate will manage the design controls, testing and product design elements including new materials, design changes, cost improvement programs, business continuity projects.

You will be responsible for;


* Be a creative, hands-on scientist/engineer who will participate in the design, development, and commercialization of medical devices including those of formulated, biologic and mechanical design in nature


* Be involved in product line extensions, existing product improvements, and commercial product support projects


* Confirm product and process change impact on user needs, customer requirements and translate them into design requirements and detailed specifications


* Perform detailed design, material selection and engineering analysis of changes


* Test and examine product performance in bench top testing
