Office Supervisor

Job Summary:

Oversees work activities of a group of clerical, retail and administrative non-exempt employees supporting the Office Mailroom, Reception and Thrift Store.

The position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and coordinated operation of various administrative functions. 

Essential Position Functions:
1.

Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor departmental performance.
2.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
3.

Ensure the smooth flow of information and resources among teams.
4.

Address conflicts or issues as they arise.
5.

Ensure that office procedures and systems are consistently followed and optimized for efficiency.
6.

Train and onboard new employees in various departments.
7.

Maintain office equipment and supplies inventory.
8.

Coordinate office maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
9.

Willingness to dive in and cover when needed, whether it’s providing support during peak workloads, stepping in for team members, or assisting with urgent tasks across departments.
10.

Reliable transportation is required for regular travel to Reser’s Hillsboro location and the bank to handle the store’s cash deposits.

 

Education and Experience:
1.

Requires 2+ years of retail experience, and experience with point of sale (POS) systems preferred.
2.

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
3.

Valid Driver’s license.
4.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Demonstrated success in maintaining composure and effectiveness in the face of competing demands.

 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
1.

Office environment.
2.

Repetitive hand, wrist, and finger activities.
3.

Retail store with some time in a cooler.
4.

Repetitive lifting with packages more than 25 lbs.

is required.
5.

The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.

 

Exempt only:  This position is eligible for a bonus based on company goals/performance.
