Cost Accounting Analyst

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:


* Extract data and create models using V-lookups and Pivot Tables in Excel. 


* Update costs and other attributes for item creation workflows and star items for the Houston location.


* Research, track and follow up on required inputs such as vendor pricing, BOMs, routings and other cost accounting data points. 


* Reconcile inventory data and transaction variances for month end closing process.


* Identify and resolve material usage variances in work orders and subsequently closes WIP jobs. 


* Assist with activities and procedures related to the planning and execution of the year end standard cost update. 


* Serve as remote back-up support for Ontario, Ohio, on cost accounting item creation workflows when needed.

For This Role, You Will Need:


* Bachelor Degree preferred; will consider relevant cost accounting experience in lieu of a degree


* Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Word, including V-lookups & Pivot Tables


* Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills 


* Legal Authorization to work in the US - sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:


* Experience in a manufacturing environment


* Knowledge of Oracle or experience with any ERP systems
