Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and systems according to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities


* Assists with planning, scheduling, and coordinating corrective, preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance activities  with long term focus on increased reliability and productivity of the workforce.


* Uses common hand and power tools (e.g., hammers, drills, wrenches), precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices to complete tasks assigned by manager.


* Assembles, calibrates, and replaces simple machinery and components.


* Uses manuals and manufacturer's instructions to complete tasks.


* Performs routines tests and submits maintenance reports.


* Collaborates with other maintenance colleagues to ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner.


* Obtains and organizes all information and parts required for maintenance work to be performed (e.g.

diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions


* Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, discussing issues with the operators, and using precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose issues.


* Controls and optimizes spare parts stocking, receiving, issuing, and inventorying.


* Develops new or refines existing preventive maintenance tasks and schedules


* Adheres to all plant safety policies.


* Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.


* Performs other duties as assigned.
 

Education and Experience


* Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) an basic technical course 2-3 years of relevant experience.
