About the Role:

We have an opportunity for you to take the next step in your career as an Area Maintenance Planner at the Huntly Mine Site. This position will be offered on a family friendly compressed working week Monday - Thursday 9hr days only roster pattern, giving you more time to spend doing the things you love.

In this challenging role, reporting to the Planning Superintendent you will ensure maintenance strategies focus on supporting the business and Maintenance Planners in preventative, predictive and planned maintenance. 

You will be a be a courageous leader who is responsible for:


* Co-ordination of maintenance activities


* Driving continuous improvement through your support and guidance of Maintenance Field Planners


* Ensuring Tradespersons tool time is maximised


* You will also plan, schedule and align major outages and provide cost leadership for all maintenance work.

What you can bring to the role:


* A strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment


* A team-oriented approach to work


* Well-developed communication and organizational skills


* Previous experience in the Maintenance, electrical/instrument or mechanical fields in mining.  Alternatively, you may have a degree, with relevant work experience. 


* Ideally, you will have extensive maintenance planning experience, with a strong focus on shutdown planning and be proficient in a wide range of PC software, including maintenance management systems.

About the Location

Huntly is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia.

Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA, it is the world’s second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa’s Pinjarra alumina refinery.
