Executive Assistant IV At-Will
Riverside County Human Resources (HR) Department is currently seeking an Executive Assistant IV-At-Will to support the Human Resources Director in facilitating efficient operations and strategic initiatives within the HR Department.
The Executive Assistant will be responsible for managing the director's calendar, coordinating meetings, drafting correspondence, maintaining files, and assisting with special projects.
This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability effectively act as a liaison with agency and department heads, the Board of Supervisors, the County Executive Officer, and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and will play a key role in fostering a positive, welcoming and collaborative work environment.
Proficiency in handling confidential materials with discretion and professionalism is essential.
Competitive candidates for this position will demonstrate strong expertise in calendar management, ensuring seamless scheduling and coordination of meetings for executive leadership.
They will have experience drafting memos and preparing agenda items for a governing board, showcasing attention to detail and an understanding of formal documentation processes.
Additionally, these candidates will possess a proven track record of providing executive-level administrative support, managing confidential information with discretion, and handling high-level administrative tasks with professionalism.
Their strong communication skills—both written and verbal—will enable them to effectively interact with senior officials, department heads, and external stakeholders, fostering a well-organized and positive work environment.
This class has been designated At-Will in accordance with the provisions provided under Article 6, Section 601E (8) of the County Management Resolution and serves at the pleasure of the County Executive Officer.

• Prepare correspondence and reports independently; prepare itineraries and coordinate meetings/participants' schedules; arrange appointments and maintain manager's calendar; make travel arrangements for manager and staff; sort, screen, prioritize, and route incoming mail.
• Screen telephone calls and visitors directing them to the appropriate parties; answer questions and assist staff and the public; obtain information about agency/ departmental policies and procedures.
• Establish, maintain, and direct the preservation of a variety of complex and/or confidential records; maintain and distribute agency/departmental procedures and rules; prepare, recommend, and establish office standards and procedures.
