Mechanical Design Engineer
For this U.S.
based position, the expected compensation range is $66,000 - $95,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

What will you do?
* The Design Engineer will create and revise Solid Works 3D models, bills of material (BOM), 2D drawings, and various documentation for new and existing product lines.
This requires working closely with internal departments and external vendors.
Duties and Responsibilites:
* Ensures models and drawings are dimensionally accurate based on the material specifications and verify the fit-up of all related parts.
* Utilizes and maintains SolidWorks PDM vault for change control management.
* Creates engineering change requests (ECR), engineering change notifications (ECN), revises BOM, work instructions, and other design documentation as required.
* Supports sales, application engineering, assembly, supply chain, and customer or field service to determine the root cause and corrective actions for component/product issues.
* New product development team member responsible for the design for manufacturing (DFM), customer, and service (DFS)
* Provides 3D and cutaway renderings of products for marketing literature, training, and instructional documentation.
* Works with suppliers and outside engineering consultants to resolve technical and supply issues, improve system features, capabilities, cost, and quality.
* Office environment working primarily at a desk on a computer.
* Ability to sit for long periods of time.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Who will you report to?
* You will report to the Development Engineering Manager.
This role is a hybrid position.
You are required to report to the Buffalo, NY office at least 3 days a week and up to 25% travel in the US a year.
